LPG, Natural Gas, Diesel, Electricity, Wood, Pellets...
The heat source is the heart of your heating system. In most cases your choice of heating method and available fuel options at your location will influence this decision.
- Boilers and heat pumps are very quiet but not silent and so can be easily situated away from living and sleeping areas such as in the garage, laundry or another covered external location.
- All our appliances are designed and manufactured in Europe using leading edge technology and expertise. The drive in Europe to save natural resources means we benefit from these developments.
- Integrate the same efficient heat source as used by your Comfort+ system with your domestic water or pool heating. As the heating load is generally intermittent and spread over an extended period, energy can be diverted to other tasks based on priority.
Running Costs
Generally speaking the higher the initial capital cost of a system, the lower running costs will be.
- While the cost per kW is a definitive figure, the accumulated running costs depend on perceived comfort levels, quality of insulation, ambient temperature extremes, building design and construction.
- Without doubt every cent spent on insulation is money well spent, as it will be quickly recovered in reduced running costs of your Comfort+ system.
Tahiti Domestic Gas Boilers
These are indoor wall hung boilers made in Italy by Fondital featuring the very latest high efficiency technology.
- They can be used to heat small or large homes via either radiators and or under floor systems with the capacity to also produce domestic hot water (see tanks and calorifiers).
- Run virtually silently on either reticulated natural gas or bottled LPG.
- Over 90% efficient while achieving very low emission levels.
- Condensing versions capable of up to 106% efficiency and the best option for underfloor systems that run at lower temperatures than radiator systems.
- ‘Combi’ versions include built in instantaneous hot water production sufficient in size to feed a single bathroom dwelling without any additional hot water storage tank. Ideal for old school NZ homes or typical inner city apartments.

Clivet Heat Pumps
These 'air to water' outdoor, floor standing heat pumps come from Italy’s undisputed leader of heat pumps; Clivet. They are optimised for NZ’s difficult low temperature and high humidity conditions.
- Able to heat medium to large homes via under floor systems even under extreme conditions helped by a variable speed fan and water pump technology.
- Extremely quiet operation with soft start technology.
- Up to a maximum of over 400% efficient makes electricity an affordable energy option.
- Unique anti frost features designed into the heat exchange plates and a special heated drip tray in the floor of the unit which prevents frost from rising.

Atlas Domestic Diesel Boilers
These diesel boilers are made in Italy by Ferroli and are modern, clean, quiet, high-efficiency indoor floor standing boilers.
- They can be used to heat medium or large homes via either radiators and or under floor systems with optional connection to a hot water storage tank for domestic hot water production.
- A blown diesel oil burner regulates the fuel while a standard atmospheric style top or side exit flue exhausts the minimal low temperature emission.
- High performing three-pass cast iron element operates at over 90% efficiency (3 stars efficiency rating according to EN 92/42 CEE).
- Diesel boilers are best situated in a garage or weatherproof shelter due to the slightly higher operational noise. In addition a remote fuel store is required which must be accessible to mobile fuel delivery units.

Atmos Pellet or Wood Boiler
Advanced wood gasification combustion technology is used to produce high outputs and minimal clean air approved emissions.
- They can be used to heat medium or large homes via either radiators and or under floor systems with optional connection to a hot water storage tank for domestic hot water production.
- Two models for burning either wood logs & briquettes or wood pellets.
- Full digital combustion control for accurate and safe hot water production.
Running cost .13.5c/kWhr @90% efficiency & @$8.50/kg pellets.
